Dear friends,

We would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a healthy and prosperous 2016.
The letter has been delayed due to our visit to Sri Lanka from last month. We would like to invite you to visit our website: www.shvv.nl. Here you can read and view moments of our visit.

In recent years the country has experienced political calm, which contributes to the development of Sri Lanka. The government is paying less attention to military concerns and has shift its attention to problems with a more social nature.
We continue to focus our attention on the youth, and especially to provide them with education. The Monaragala project is going true changes, because the overall support for the schools was becoming too confusing. We are going to focus on individual support for young people in the track of higher and vocational education.
Our local project manager turned 75 years of age. We have to take his age and limitations into account when we think about the direction of our projects.

Other projects in which we are involved, will continue to support the needs of students and we remain effective in our assessments.

We will be looking for new projects that come to our attention.
We would like to thank everyone for their support and generosity. Needless to say, we cannot do it without your help.

Please contact us with questions and suggestions.
In advance we thank you on behalf of the children in Sri Lanka.
